At Hendricks Home Daycare we believe that it takes a village to raise our children. When you have to go to work, you need someone you trust to take care of your little ones. We think of ourselves as an extended family to provide the love, support, and education that they need.

Our family includes the 6 of us – Lisa, Sally, Ellie, Lainey, Ethen, and Emmett. Lisa was born into the daycare business – her mother has recently retired after running an in-home daycare for over 30 years. Lisa worked in retail for years, but after Ellie was born she opened her own daycare to be able to be at home while providing the valuable service she grew up appreciating. Sally is a chiropractor with a background in teaching and developmental psychology. She ran a practice in San Leandro until after the triplets – Lainey, Ethen, and Emmett – were born. At that time it became obvious that it would make much more sense to our family for her to be home and to return to her early love of children and teaching. Ellie is 9 years old and is currently in the 4th grade. She loves reading books to the younger children and helping Sally with craft and circle times. Lainey, Ethen, and Emmett are 6 and they are doing 1st grade via distance learning and are enthusiastic participants in the play and learning around the daycare and playschool.
